Partners Against Piracy (PAP) is a multi-stakeholder initiative committed to protecting Africa’s creative industries from the devastating effects of piracy. We bring together broadcasters, film studios, content creators, regulators, and law enforcement to fight the illegal distribution of creative works across the continent.
Piracy not only robs artists, producers, and distributors of their rightful income, but it also undermines Africa’s growing creative economy—an economy with the potential to create millions of jobs, attract investment, and tell authentic African stories to the world.
Through awareness campaigns, policy engagement, industry collaboration, and public education, PAP works to shift perceptions around piracy, demonstrating that it is not a victimless crime but one that impacts livelihoods, opportunities, and innovation.
