1. Registration and Payment
- All attendees must pre-register and complete payment to secure participation in FAME Week Africa.
- On-site registration may be available for professionals working in relevant industries, subject to availability and organiser approval.
- Registration grants access to sessions, exhibition areas, networking spaces, and event materials as specified in the selected ticket category.
2. Duplicate or Invalid Registrations
- The organisers reserve the right to review and remove duplicate registrations.
- Where duplicate registrations are identified, only one registration will be retained and the registrant may be contacted to resolve the duplication.
- The organisers also reserve the right to decline or cancel registrations that are incomplete, inaccurate, or not aligned with the professional nature of the event.
3. No Refund Policy
- All registration fees are strictly non-refundable.
- This applies under all circumstances including, but not limited to, personal reasons, travel disruptions, visa issues, health concerns, or external events.
4. Transfer of Registration
- Registered attendees who are unable to attend may transfer their registration to another qualified individual from the same organisation or industry.
- Transfer requests must be submitted in writing to the event organisers prior to the published transfer deadline.
- All transfers are subject to organiser approval and eligibility verification.
5. Event Changes or Cancellation
- The organisers reserve the right to modify the event programme, schedule, speakers, venue, or format where necessary.
- If the event is cancelled by the organisers, registered attendees will receive a refund of the registration fee only.
- The organisers will not be responsible for additional expenses, including travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred.
6. Admission Policy
- FAME Week Africa is a business-to-business industry event and is not open to the general public.
- Access is limited to approved, registered attendees.
- The Hosted Buyer Programme is strictly invitation-only.
- Press accreditation is limited to Publishers, Editors, Journalists, Photographers, and Broadcast Media. Advertising personnel and media sales representatives will not be accredited as press.
- Badge sharing, misuse, or falsification is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the event.
7. Attendee Conduct
- All attendees are expected to behave professionally and respectfully towards fellow participants, exhibitors, speakers, staff, and venue personnel.
- Harassment, discrimination, disruptive behaviour, or violation of event policies may result in removal from the event without refund and potential exclusion from future editions.
8. Identification Requirements
- Attendees may be required to present valid photo identification (passport, national identity card, or driver’s licence) at registration or during the event.
9. Privacy and Data Usage
- By registering, attendees consent to the collection and processing of their personal information for event administration, communication, and operational purposes.
- Personal information may be shared with approved service providers involved in the delivery of the event, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
10. Photography, Filming and Recording
- FAME Week Africa may be photographed, filmed, or recorded by official photographers, videographers, media partners, or attendees.
- These materials may be used for marketing, promotional, editorial, and archival purposes.
- By attending the event, participants consent to being photographed or recorded without compensation.
- Event sessions may be recorded and shared. Any public use, distribution, or publication of such recordings must credit FAME Week Africa as the source.
11. Networking and Business Activity
- FAME Week Africa is designed as a professional marketplace and networking environment.
- Registered attendees may conduct meetings, networking activities, and business discussions during the event.
- However, the organisers reserve the right to prevent unauthorised commercial activity that disrupts exhibitors or official partners, including aggressive solicitation or unauthorised promotional activity within exhibition stands.
12. Protection of Exhibitors
- Attendees may not distribute promotional materials, conduct marketing campaigns, or promote products/services within exhibition stands or designated exhibitor spaces unless they are a registered exhibitor, sponsor, or authorised partner.
- The organisers reserve the right to remove individuals engaging in disruptive or unauthorised commercial activity.
13. Networking Platforms and Data Sharing
- FAME Week Africa may provide digital networking tools or meeting platforms to facilitate connections between attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and partners.
- By participating in these platforms, attendees acknowledge that their professional information (such as name, company, and job title) may be visible to other approved participants.
- Attendees are responsible for managing their own networking interactions.
14. Liability
- The organisers are not liable for personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to personal property occurring during the event.
- Attendees participate at their own risk and are responsible for their belongings.
15. Force Majeure
- The organisers shall not be responsible for failure to deliver the event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, government restrictions, pandemics, natural disasters, civil unrest, or other unforeseen events.
16. Use of Event Name and Unofficial Events
- The name FAME Week Africa, its logos, branding, and associated marks may not be used to promote third-party events, meetings, or activities without prior written permission from the organisers.
- Any event organised during the event period may not be marketed or represented as an official FAME Week Africa activity unless authorised.
- The organisers reserve the right to request the removal or amendment of promotional materials that imply an unauthorised association with the event.
17. Acceptance of Terms
- By completing registration and attending FAME Week Africa, attendees confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
