DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

At FAME Week Africa and its corelated events, MIP Africa, Cape Town International Animation Festival, Muziki Africa and Media & Entertainment Solutions Africa, we want to create a platform where African and global creatives live in an equitable and just world where they can listen to each other and learn from each other.

We believe in the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We know that merely holding these beliefs is not enough. This is why we are committed to these three actionable steps.

CAREER CHANGING CONVERSATIONS

The content sessions at FAME Week recognise the immense talent Africa has to offer and celebrates creatives from across the continent and the globe. The content sessions’ purpose is to inspire businesses and focus innovation, creativity, and purpose. We want these sessions to be an opportunity to learn. In order to do this, we need diverse voices and acknowledge the importance of representation. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not only important in the stories we tell but also for the people that help bring these stories to life.

INCLUSIVE STORIES TO BE TOLD

FAME Week Africa will develop and create opportunities for more inclusive content to be promoted and highlighted through awards, live performances, content sessions, content pitches and mentorship. We believe that through diversity and inclusion, creativity can prosper. We want to be known as the leading cultural and creative event that promotes creativity through diversity, equity, and inclusion.

LIVE THE RX NIMBLE WAY

The FAME Week Africa team will be diverse and inclusive and their voices will be heard. It is these voices from different lived experiences and perspectives that will aid in building a platform for inclusive stories to be told and career changing conversations to take place.
