CTIAF Returns to CTICC2 for a Celebration of Animation as part of FAME WEEK AFRICA which runs from 2 - 4 September 2024
● The Cape Town international Animation Festival is returning to Fame Week Africa in 2024 and again is focusing more on the creatives and the producers

● You can look forward to Panel discussions and Keynotes from key speakers in our 1 day program at The Daisy Room on the Top Floor of the CTICC2
● We continue to support our Outreach programme with “Vuma Pop” who have been hosting pop up cinema experiences in Townships for the last 10 years-
CTIAF hosts several, and this year we will be bring the fabulous Disney screenings “Enkai" and “First Totem Problems" to the community.
Highlights of CTIAF 2024 FWA include:
Panel discussions and hosted lunches with inspiring speakers
- WATA Luncheon: "WATA in conversation with Ng'endo Mukii" - Join WATA’s (Women Activating Transformation Africa) Venessa Buthulezi in conversation with Tufts University Lecturer and Enkai director Ng’endo Mukii, as they discuss Ng’endo’s extensive mixed media experience in the animation industry, from grassroots to the current space she occupies ( see WATA details attached to email ) WATA is a non-profit company and creative collective based in South Africa that supports and advocates for women in the animation, film and television industry - from the African continent, globally. WATA leverages international networks to create collaborative environments that enable growth, empowerment and equitable opportunity for women and marginalised communities. A greater representation of women narratives in the varied audio-visual mediums, enables the betterment and growth of the value chain.
- Story Oasis, Wild Words Content & Creative, Triggerfish, Ng’endo Mukii: "Writing Across Mediums: The Transition Between Animation and Live Action" – Examining the nuances of writing for animation compared to live action, and how to transition between these two storytelling forms.
